Step-by-step guide to using AlyaPay when shopping at partner stores in Morocco.

AlyaPay makes shopping easy with flexible payment plans available at partner stores across Morocco. This guide shows you exactly how to use AlyaPay when you're ready to make a purchase.

Make sure you have:

  • ✅ A complete AlyaPay account (verified profile and KYC)

  • ✅ A payment method added to your account

  • ✅ Your phone with you

Where can I shop with Alya?

Look for the Alya logo at participating stores. Our partners include:

Step-by-step: Using Alya in stores

Step 1: Shop as usual

Browse the store and select the items you want to purchase. Alya works just like any other payment method - the cashier will handle everything.

Step 2: At checkout, tell the cashier

When you're ready to pay, simply say: "I want to use Alya"

The cashier will know what to do.

Step 3: Give your phone number

The cashier will ask for your phone number - the same number you used to register with Alya.

That's all the cashier needs! Everything else is done on your phone.

Step 4: Complete the purchase on your phone

You'll receive an SMS notification with a link, or you can open the Alya app directly.

On your phone, you'll see:

  1. Purchase details - Store name, items, total amount

  2. Payment plan options - Choose 2, 3, or 4 installments

  3. Payment breakdown - See exactly how much you'll pay today and for each installment

  4. Review and confirm - Double-check everything before confirming

Step 5: Select your payment plan

Choose how many installments you want:

2 Installments - Pay 50% today, 50% in 30 days

3 Installments - Pay 33% today, remainder in 2 monthly payments

4 Installments - Pay 25% today, remainder in 3 monthly payments

Example: 1,200 MAD purchase

  • 2 installments: 600 MAD today, 600 MAD in 30 days

  • 3 installments: 400 MAD today, then 400 MAD each month for 2 months

  • 4 installments: 300 MAD today, then 300 MAD each month for 3 months

All installments are spaced 30 days apart (monthly).

Step 6: Apply promo code (optional)

If you have a promo code:

  1. Enter the code in the promo code input.

  2. Your total will update automatically

  3. See your new installment amounts

Step 7: Review and confirm

Before confirming, review:

  • Store name and location

  • Total purchase amount

  • Payment plan selected

  • First payment amount (due today)

  • Remaining installment amounts and dates

  • Your payment method

Tap "Confirm Purchase" when ready.

Step 8: First payment processes

Your first installment is charged immediately to your saved payment method.

You'll see:

  • Payment processing screen

  • Confirmation when successful

  • Purchase details and receipt

The cashier will also receive confirmation on their system.

Step 9: Take your items home!

Once your first payment is confirmed:

  • ✅ You receive your purchased items immediately

  • ✅ The cashier gives you your items

  • ✅ The remaining payments will be automatically charged monthly

  • ✅ You can view your purchase details in the Alya app anytime

What the cashier needs

Only your phone number! That's it.

You do NOT need to:

  • Show your ID

  • Provide your card details to the cashier

  • Tell the cashier your payment plan preference

  • Fill out any paperwork

Everything is done privately on your phone.

Viewing your purchase

To see your purchase details anytime:

  1. Open the Alya app

  2. Go to Purchases

  3. Tap on your recent purchase

  4. View:

  • Total amount

  • Payment plan

  • Payment schedule

  • Remaining balance

  • Next payment date (30 days from last payment)

What if my purchase is declined?

If your purchase cannot be completed, it may be because:

  • ❌ Your profile is incomplete

  • ❌ Your identity verification is pending

  • ❌ Your payment method is invalid or has insufficient funds

  • ❌ The purchase amount is outside limits (not 500-15,000 MAD)

  • ❌ Your first payment cannot be processed

What to do:

  1. Check the error message on your phone

  2. Fix the issue in your account (update payment method, complete profile, etc.)

  3. Try again at the store

All payments are monthly (30 days apart):

Example: Purchase on January 15

  • Payment 1: January 15 (today)

  • Payment 2: February 15 (30 days later)

  • Payment 3: March 15 (30 days later)

  • Payment 4: April 15 (30 days later)

Simple rule: Each payment is due on the same day of the month as your purchase date.

Q: Do I need the app to shop in stores?

A: You can use either the app or the web link sent via SMS. Having the app installed makes it faster.
