A complete profile is required before you can shop with AlyaPay. Profile completion ensures your account is secure and helps us verify your identity. This guide explains what information you need and how to complete your profile.

What you need to provide

Your AlyaPay profile has three essential sections that must be completed:

1. Basic Information (During Signup)

Already completed during registration:

  • Phone number (verified)

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Password

2. Personal Details (Account Settings)

Required before shopping:

  • Gender (Male/Female)

  • Date of birth

Where to add:

  1. Log into your account at app.alyapay.com

  2. Click "Update profile"

  3. Add your gender and birthdate

  4. Click "Save"

Why we need this:

This information is required for identity verification and regulatory compliance in Morocco.

3. Identity Verification (KYC)

Required documents (choose one):

  • Moroccan National ID (CIN - Carte d'identité nationale)

  • Moroccan Resident Permit (Carte de séjour)

Verification process:

  1. Take a clear photo of your ID (front side)

  2. Take a clear photo of your ID (back side)

  3. Take a selfie for face matching

  4. Our system verifies the information automatically

  5. Approval typically takes seconds to a few minutes

Tips for successful ID verification

Taking good ID photos

DO:

  • ✅ Use good lighting (natural light is best)

  • ✅ Place ID on a plain, dark background

  • ✅ Make sure all text is readable

  • ✅ Include all four corners of the ID

  • ✅ Take photos straight-on (not at an angle)

  • ✅ Make sure ID is flat (not bent or folded)

DON'T:

  • ❌ Use flash (can cause glare)

  • ❌ Take blurry photos

  • ❌ Cover any part of the ID

  • ❌ Use photocopies (must be original ID)

  • ❌ Take photos in dim lighting

  • ❌ Submit expired documents

DO:

  • ✅ Face the camera directly

  • ✅ Remove sunglasses and hats

  • ✅ Use good lighting on your face

  • ✅ Make sure your face is clearly visible

  • ✅ Have a neutral expression

DON'T:

  • ❌ Wear sunglasses or masks

  • ❌ Take photos in darkness

  • ❌ Use filters or effects

  • ❌ Cover your face with hair or hands

  1. Personal details - 1 minute

  2. ID verification - 1 minute

  3. Payment method - 1 minute

What information can I update?

Can be changed anytime:

  • Email address (requires verification)

  • Password

  • Payment methods

Cannot be changed:

  • Phone number (contact support)

  • First name (contact support)

  • Last name (contact support)

  • Date of birth (contact support)

  • Gender (contact support)

Note: Name and birthdate cannot be changed because they must match your verified ID document.
